Does this story deserve your attention?
This is how we learn from each others mistakes.
Hi, Gopi here.
Stories are always fun to listen to.
Something about following a character's journey, connecting with the protagonist and their hardships, makes it so entertaining.
I remember this one storyline from the book: The Diary of the Wimpy Kid.
Maybe you’re aware of this book (or maybe I am just too old), but for some goddamn reason, I would read this series religiously.
This kid was the most average student ever.
Doing just average things.
Yet, I was hooked - begging my parents for the new edition of the book.
The Wimpy Kid was merely meant for entertainment, but I took life lessons from it.
Reason: He was relatable to me.
As a middle school student, reading about another student facing similar challenges really connected me with the characters. Even though he was someone completely different. His mistakes somehow became my lessons.
And that’s why we started getshitdone.
We believe that sharing stories, learning of each other, belonging together is what make us human.
Wimpy Kid wasn’t the popular kid, nor was he successful.
His journey was what made it so damn interesting and relatable
And that’s what we want to share, a space where our journeys - the confusion, the bad ideas, the small wins, that actually matter.
Not a parade of perfect routines, but a journal of what it really means to try.
Stories help us grow and pass on wisdom, and they teach us from the past.
Because if we can’t tell the truth about where we are, how can we build the future we want?
If we’re just shouting advice, are we really listening?
So, let’s try something new.
Let’s be honest about what it takes.
Let’s learn together.
Share your story. Or just read along. Either way, you belong here.
