Ever played Sneaky Sasquatch Before?
Stop building MVPs and start using MVAs
I thought I left my gaming years behind me, but then I discovered Sneaky Sasquatch.
It’s such a goofy, entertaining game. You play as the Sasquatch (=Bigfoot), and you can do all sorts of things. Just yesterday, I played golf, surfed, rose up the corporate ladder and built a big farm.
The only problem? This game has me HOOKED. I am not even going to lie, it is 2pm as I’m writing this and the ONLY thing I have done today is play this game.

Me at my Sneaky Sasquatch Farm
However, I used a little trick called MVA. Minimum Viable Action.
I’m sure most of you have heard of MVP, Minimum Viable Product, before.
It’s what entrepreneurs create to test their product and get it to the market as fast as possible.
An MVA, on the other hand, is the minimum viable action you can take to stop playing Sneaky Sasquatch and start doing the things you should be doing instead.
Like writing this newsletter.
My minimum viable action was to write one single sentence.
I close the game.
I switch over to my browser.
And I type just one sentence. But now, while I’m already here, I continue typing.
One thought follows the next.
And before I know it, I’m nearing the end of the newsletter.
And all it took was for me to find the MVA and do it.
Maybe your Minimum Viable Action might be one push-up.
One cold call.
One line of code.
Whatever it is, just do it.
And let the inertia take you all the way to where you want to be.
