GetShitDone: Back To School Edition
This will help you hit the ground running this semester
This newsletter is going to be a little different. Let me know what you think about it.
BACK TO SCHOOL
BACKTOSCHOOL | As we all know, university is about to start again, and many of you are students. I want to give you as many tips, tricks and resources I can for this year ahead, to make sure your productivity and GPA soars! |
The Pomodoro Technique!I’m sure you already know it. Work for 25 minutes, break for 5. Whenever I really need to focus, I’ll activate my little shortcut I built myself and I’ll be fully focused. Check it out for yourself here. | Tip 1 |
Tip 2 | Time Block EverythingBy blocking off time slots for the things I want to get done, I make it easier for them to actually get done. It also saves time because I don’t need to sit around wondering what to do next. ![]() My calendar |
Organize your NotesI have wasted waaay too much time in the past just looking for notes or other materials for university. The way I solved it was by building a student hub in Notion. You can check it out here. | Tip 3 |
Additional Resources
NotebookLM
This little guy has been carrying me through university the past year. NotebookLM lets you upload all your readings, slides and other class materials, and then lets you use it like a personalized chatgpt, drawing answers from your sources.
My favourite feature: It can generate a podcast for you based on the sources, and this has literally saved me days of work. Oh, and its completely free.
Napkin AI
When I make presentations or need graphics done, I sometimes use napkin.ai. It’s a hit or miss, sometimes it works great, sometimes less so. Either way, the simple and fun UI is nice to play around with.
That’s all for now! Whether you have already been attending classes, or your new semester is just about to start, I wish you all the best! I’m sure you’re going to smash it at uni this year, and I hope some of the resources I shared today were of value to you!
Cheers,
Nooa
