How we get shit done around here

This is the single system that has kept me on track this year.

It’s Nooa again, hope you’ve been enjoying the newsletters so far.

This one will be about the system that keeps us motivated and on track with our projects, no matter what.

Here’s how it works:

Every Sunday, I hear the familiar Discord ringtone inviting me to join the weekly meeting. In the voice chat, Gopi is often waiting for me, on rare occasions Josué will be there already too. (It’s customary for Gopi and me to catch up before the chronically late Josué arrives.)

Once we all finally make it, we go through our objectives for the week.

What are these objectives?

Well, the previous Sunday, we set objectives for the coming week, different mini-goals we want to achieve during the next 7 days. These objectives can be related to education, health and fitness, business and finances, or anything else, as long as it is fueling our personal development.

To give you an idea of what those could be, here are our real objectives from the past week:

We of course use the wonderful Notion to track all of the objectives and visualize progress.

The total amount of weekly objectives in a neat chart

It’s about more than simply setting goals and looking at fancy charts.

This call is something to look forward to.

A chance to connect, share wins and losses, reflect and prepare.

When I mentioned that I don’t want to gatekeep our systems anymore, this is what I meant.

I want to share what we do so that you can apply it to yourself.

Beyond the connection and great conversations, this weekly meeting keeps us accountable. There is a certain element of shame to admitting that you did not put in all the work you promised to.

So, throughout the whole week, you have that motivation, that extra something that helps you put down that goddamn phone and get to work.

I’m really passionate about productivity, and getting more work done with less time.

Next week, I’ll dive in a little deeper how these objectives connect to my other systems.

Thanks for tuning in, see you again soon!

Best,

Nooa

Oh, and by the way, we have a little challenge going on. From our side, we want to double our subscriber count by next week. From your side, we have a challenge too:
